The Lisa Dean Moseley Foundation Institute Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders

The Lisa Dean Moseley Foundation Institute Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders is one of three main hubs for cancer and blood disorder research at 91大神. Backed by one of the largest philanthropic gifts in 91大神 history, this state-of-the-art facility supports a robust portfolio of clinical trials and lab-based studies, including preclinical leukemia testing and sickle cell disease modeling.

Our site is home to dedicated labs focused on informatics and stem cells, and serves as the lead site for our NCORP and sickle cell disease COBRE grants. Research here spans oncology, hematology, transplant and cellular therapy, and psychosocial care.

Discoveries made by our researchers directly impact the patient care we provide in a clinical setting.听

Nationally Funded Research Leadership

Delaware Valley serves as a lead site for two major federally funded research programs that advance pediatric care nationwide. Through the National Cancer Institute鈥檚 Community Oncology Research Program, our team helps bring cutting-edge clinical trials into community settings, improving access for children with cancer and blood disorders.

In parallel, the Centers of Biomedical Research Excellence grant supports transformative lab-based studies focused on sickle cell disease, including efforts to model the disease and investigate innovative treatments. Together, these programs reinforce our commitment to translating research into real-world care.

Laboratory Research

Our center is home to specialized laboratories, each focused on a critical aspect of understanding and treating pediatric cancers and blood disorders:听

Cancer Modeling Lab

We create lab models of different cancer types to test new treatments and understand how cancers develop and respond to therapy.听

Cancer Stem Cell Lab

Our team studies the special cells that can give rise to cancer and drive tumor growth, aiming to develop treatments that target these critical cells.听

Moseley Informatics Lab

We use advanced data analysis and computational methods to uncover data that can improve treatment decisions and predict outcomes.
