Orange County Library System
K鈥慠eady WORKS Orlando partners with the Orange County Library System (OCLS) to bring engaging, literacy-focused programming directly into early learning centers. Through this partnership, OCLS provides on-site Storytime sessions, interactive storytelling workshops for educators, and its Countdown to Kindergarten series to help prepare children and families for a successful transition into school. These efforts support early literacy development while building confidence and engagement in learning from an early age.
The OCLS is a public library system serving the 1.5 million residents of Orange County, Fla. With 15 locations and a vast network of online and outreach resources, OCLS enriches lives through experiences and opportunities to learn, grow and connect. With free programs from technology classes for all ages to early literacy education and free online resources including language learning and homework help, an OCLS library card offers unlimited value. K鈥慠eady WORKS partners with the REED Charitable Foundation (RCF) to strengthen literacy instruction in early learning settings through educator training, coaching, and classroom support. Using an evidence-based Orton-Gillingham approach, this partnership equips teachers with strategies to support diverse learners, including children with dyslexia. By building educator confidence and providing structured literacy tools, this collaboration helps improve early reading outcomes during critical developmental years.
The REED Charitable Foundation is committed to expanding access to effective literacy instruction for all children, including those with dyslexia. By equipping educators and supporting students, RCF helps build strong foundations in reading and confidence that support lifelong learning and success.
YMCA Y on the Fly
K鈥慠eady WORKS partners with the YMCA of Central Florida鈥檚 Y on the Fly program to expand access to physical activity, nutrition, and enrichment opportunities for children and families. Through this partnership, K鈥慠eady helps bring structured, engaging programming directly into neighborhoods and early learning communities, supporting children鈥檚 physical health and overall well-being.
Y on the Fly is a mobile outreach initiative that delivers free, high-quality out-of-school experiences during times when access may be limited, particularly during the summer months. The program brings fitness activities, healthy snacks, and trusted YMCA staff to community spaces including parks, apartment communities, and early learning centers.
By coming directly into early learning centers, Y on the Fly brings fun, active programming that encourages movement, promotes healthy habits, and supports children鈥檚 physical development.
West Lakes Partnership聽
K鈥慠eady WORKS partners with West Lakes Partnership to address food insecurity and support families with reliable access to nutritious meals. Through this collaboration, K鈥慠eady has supported food distributions that include both hot meals and grocery items, ensuring families have access to essential resources, particularly during high-need times such as the holiday season.
Food deliveries are coordinated through local early learning centers within the 32805 community, making it easier for families to access support in trusted and familiar locations.
West Lakes Partnership is a community development organization focused on preserving and strengthening neighborhoods surrounding Camping World Stadium in Orlando. Since 2016, the organization has worked to create safe, healthy, and thriving communities across West Lakes neighborhoods by supporting housing stability, community well-being, and economic opportunity.
Children鈥檚 Safety Village of Central Florida
K鈥慠eady WORKS partners with the Children鈥檚 Safety Village of Central Florida to provide hands-on safety education experiences for children through field trips and interactive learning opportunities. Through this partnership, children from participating early learning centers engage in age-appropriate lessons focused on important safety topics such as water safety, fire safety, and personal safety awareness.
These experiences allow children to learn and practice safety skills in a realistic, engaging environment that reinforces critical life skills while building confidence and awareness.
The Children鈥檚 Safety Village is dedicated to reducing preventable injuries by educating children and families through immersive, experiential learning.
Early learners engage with Orange County Fire Rescue professionals during a hands-on fire safety demonstration.

Through this partnership, we work alongside early learning centers to support educator development, enhance classroom instruction, and align resources that promote school readiness.

Their Early Learning Collaborative focuses on supporting early childhood providers, increasing access to quality care, and strengthening systems that support families and young learners.
