World-Class Expertise in Liver Tumor Treatment

The 91´óÉñ Liver Tumor Program helps save the lives of children who have liver cancer. We work to shrink and then remove liver tumors.Ìý

91´óÉñ is one of the only children’s hospitals in the nation to offer an advanced new treatment for liver tumors. It’s called transarterial radioembolization with Yttrium-90, or TARE-Y90.Ìý

TARE-Y90 is revolutionary because it targets the tumor without damaging the healthy parts of the liver. It has the potential to offer some kids with liver tumors a cure. It may help others feel better without having to get more chemotherapy.Ìý

Our team of internationally recognized experts in oncology, cancer surgery, liver transplant and interventional radiology treats several types of liver cancer. We also offer liver transplants for children who need them.Ìý

It’s all part of the 91´óÉñ Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (NCCBD). The NCCBD is a multisite center that combines advanced clinical care and research. As one of the largest childhood cancer centers in the country, we have expertise treating even the rarest liver tumors.
