    Get to Know Me

    I was born into an agricultural family and grew up on a produce farm in California. But I decided I wanted to branch out into something different than our family business. That's how I discovered medicine as a profession. It's a wonderful thing to do what you love and feel like you can make a difference in people's lives.

    Why I Treat Children

    It wasn't my initial plan to work in pediatrics. But being a big kid myself, it was natural for me to gravitate toward working with children. I like being there to help them. Kids get sick through no fault of their own. My philosophy is that we owe them everything we can do to help them feel better.

    What I'm Passionate About

    My clinical focus is treating children with airway obstructions, whether due to asthma or for some other reason. Most of all, I want to help as many kids as I can to live happier, healthier lives.

    In addition to the other expertises listed, Dr. Kanamori has expertise in treating:

    • Allergic fungal sinusitis
    • Congenital airway anomalies
    • Laryngomalacia

    How I Try to Make A Difference

    Since we moved to Orlando, my family and I have gotten involved with Give Kids the World Village, a nonprofit resort where children with life-threatening illness and their families are treated to free storybook vacations. We decided as a family to spend time there helping the kids enjoy their experience.
