Get to Know Me
Justin D鈥橝ntuono, MD, FAAP, is a board-certified primary care pediatrician, and a fellow of the American Association of Pediatrics. He has been working with children for much of his adult life, and enjoys working to keep kids healthy throughout childhood.
Why I Treat Children
Ever since high school, I鈥檝e loved working with kids. In college, I volunteered at a major children鈥檚 hospital in the northeast. I like watching children grow and develop throughout their childhood. I鈥檝e always found helping sick children, and helping them do what kids should be doing 鈥 being happy and healthy 鈥 very rewarding.
What I'm Passionate About
I鈥檓 passionate about preventive care to help keep children from getting sick. Simple things such as nutrition, fitness and good sleep habits, if started at an early age, will have a big pay-off later on in life in the overall health and well-being of a child.It鈥檚 also important to me to help parents with their everyday challenges, and to aid in developing parenting techniques and strategies for families. Parenting is the toughest job in the world, but it鈥檚 the best job in the world. The home atmosphere plays a huge role in a child鈥檚 development. I have two of my own kids, so I can offer practical suggestions based on what has worked in my family.
How I Try to Make A Difference
We are moving our practice toward the medical home model where the family can feel that this is a place where we can take care of more than just medical problems, but also social/emotional challenges. I make myself as accessible as possible to my patients, whether it be by phone, email or appointment times, in order to fully address any concerns that parents may have.
